May 24 Bermuda Day Parade & Half Marathon

A Bermudian Band lead off for the Parade..................Don't they look great!
Notice the ballerinas running, the two on the right are men, Ha ha, what good sports!
Our fellow member Aaron, from England, he did great.

We were fortunate enough to meet up with Sister Trott (brown hair). She shared her family, food & shade, she's the BEST! They have such a nice family.
Bermuda Day is a big celebration here, rightfully so, they are proud to be Bermudians.  The Elders and us decided we would join in by attending the parade and watching for our Branch President and our friend Aaron  to finish the race.  It was fun to cheer them on and enjoy the many families out for the day. They start the day before by marking their place along the route.  Some actually camp for the night to get the prime spots.  Most have sun tents to shade them, all have chairs and a table for cooking or preparing food for the family and friends.  I must say the food looked delicious.  They all were enjoying themselves immensely.  It did contribute to us missing our family and friends. We thought a great deal of each of you that day.  To console ourselves we opted to eat at the "Hog Penny", Rachel Ray visited there last year to eat.  I'm HAPPY to report it was as good as she had said.
